At the beginning of Summer I was on the hunt for a denim skirt. I came across one that I really liked at Urban Outfitters, however, it was way more than I was willing to pay. The Urban Renewal Recycled Levi’s Notched Denim Mini Skirt is $59 and I felt that it was too much to spend on a skirt that i wasn't going to wear often. Because this skirt is from their "Urban Renewal" collection, I knew that it had been up-cycled which made a light bulb go off in my head. I knew for sure that I could DIY this skirt.
Without hesitation, I took a trip to one of my favorite thrift stores, the L Train Vintage, and purchased a pair of Levis Jeans for $10. Granted it took some time for me to set aside some time to do this DIY project but nonetheless it's here!
It only took 1 hour and I must say that it was much easier than I thought it would be. I made a tutorial video for those who may want to try this themselves.
Check out the video and how I styled it. Let me know what you think!
